Some of the Paint Process steps
of Ryan Dungey's High Point Steel City National lid
worn on Aug. 30th, 2008
Blake Dungey, Ryan's brother contacted us about a week before
the last national of the year with a design for Ryan.
So we got it done for him in a week and it was approved by his sponsors.
Ryan will be wearing this Target, One Industries, Rockstar
helmet in PA... and we wish him the best of luck !

Blake sent us a new One Industries helmet.
Because One only supplies helmets with graphics on them already, the
prep-process
takes longer. First, the helmet is disassembled, masked off, and all the
graphics are sanded completely flat.
Then it is primered and sanded smooth again, with adhesive promoter steps in
between.
|

Then the helmet and parts are sprayed white. |

Computer cut masking is laid down for
specific images, and pinstripe tape. |

Target red is then sprayed. |

...and then more designs are masked off. |

Black is laid down over the top of
everything... |

...and then the airbrushing begins around the
logos, designs, and the skyline of Minneapolis. |

Most of the masking is removed.
|

Everything is cleaned up, and pinstriped. |
all final hand
striping is laid down, and the helmet and parts are clearcoated.BELOW IS THE FINISHED PRODUCT
